The s.s. Flora returned from Limestone Island this afternoon. She sails for East Coast bays, Glsborne, >'apier, Wellington, and Nelson at 8 a.m. to-morrow. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer has been detained in the South. She leaves Lyttelton for Waitara. then. comes OD to Auckland about the 22nd insc. Wellington will be the final port about the end of June. Omapere. June 10.—Sailed at 3.40 p.m.: Inga, s.s., for Sydney. Lyttelton, June 10.—Arrived at 6.40 a.m.: Warrimoo, s.s., from Dunedin; at 6.45 a.m.: Maori, s.s., from Wellington; at 8.5 a.m.: Storm, s.s., from Wanganui. Newcastle, June 10.—Sailed: Komato, s.s., for Dunedin; Brisbane, for Wellington; Pelotas, for Gisborue; Aldebaran, for Auckland. NEWCASTLE TRADERS. Two Newcastle traders reached port today—the barques James Craig and Solgran. The former brings 500 tons coal, and the latter 1000 tons coal. The Solgran proceeds to Mercury Bay after discharging, to load Umber for Sydney. An agreement has been arrived at in ■the dispute '/between the Auckland Butchers' Union and_ the employers, and the matter has been referred to the Arbitration Court for the fixing of an award. Attention is called, to the sale of four acres and house at Avondale, to be sold by auction to-morrow, at 12 o'clock, by Mr R. C. Carr, at his rooms, Swanson-street. Attention is drawn to the sale by public auction at the rooms of Messrs T. Mandeno Jackson, Customs-street E., at 2 o'clock tomorrow, of a residence in Bella-street, Ellerslie, a 6-roomed dwelling in Epsom, on the Beresford Park estate, and two beautiful sections, each of six acres, in the Meadowbank estate, Remuera: and a larjre block of land in Clifton and , Patterson loads, Mount Eden, close to the old rifle range, will also be submitted.
Sopranos and contraltos assisting at the performance of Beethoven's Choral Symphony are requested to meet for rehearsal at Herr Wielaert's residence; sopranos tonight, altos Friday night.
