Probate lias been granted by Mr Justice Edwards in the estate of William Enis Baxter, deceased, of MoTrinsville, on the motion of Mr C. \V. Tringham, of Wellington. The City Fire Brigade receive., a call from Vincent-street about 10.30 o'clock last night. A fire was discovered in a house owned by Mr. Duffy, and occupied by Mr. Pope, but it was extinguished before any appreciable damage bad been sustained. The outbreak was caused by rate, which, had a nest in the meatier-boarding. _^^
