The Vancouver mail steamer ilarama, carrying 11 Australian and New Zealand delegates to the Imperial Press Conference, hud a very pleasant passage to Honolulu, where fche arrived on. the 27th of April. A reception of the delegates had been prepared by the Press of Hawaii. The iiarama was a full ship, shewing the popularity of this line as a passenger route. She carried over 500 passengers and a full cargo, including a. large number of frozen sheep for Vancouver. In Western Canada the "farmers are turning all their land into growing wheat, and it is believed there will soon be a big opening for New Zealand and Australian mutton. Giving evidence in a hairdTesser's dispute in Sydney, an employer said he preferred a silent workman to a garrulous one. He expected his employees to be courteous, and attend to the customers as they ought to. It was possible for a garrulous employee to sicken a customer with his talk.
