Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Waitemata County Council, to be held at the Office of the Council, Palmerston Buildings, Queen-st., Auckland, on FRIDAY, the 2nd day of April, 1009, the following Resolution, passed at a Special Meeting of the said Council, held on the Bth day of February, 1009, will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order:— "That the Waitemata Connty Council hereby make a by-law drawn for that, purpose under the provisions of 'The Public Works Act, 1008.' and "The Count'es Act, 1905,' and of every other power' thereunto ounbMng It, to provide regulation of all kinds of' traffic on roads aud bridges within the limits of the County of Waitomata, and to prevent injury to such roads and bridges by particular kinds of traffic, aud that this special resolution do operate as a special order. The objects of the by-law is to provide for the regulation of traffic generally on roads within the limits of the Couuty of Waitomata, the regulation of heavy traffic, and the weight of load to be transported, the prescription of width of tyre to be used, to prevent obstruction on the roads within the snld County, to prohibit heavy traffic on the County roads during the months of May to September inclusive in each year, to provide for the marking of weight of vehicle and ascertaining weight of load carried, and to provide that the estimated cost of repair of roads must be lodged with the Council prior to the undertaking , or "certain kinds of traffic en County roads. A penalty of sums not exceeding £g and £20 is provided fo<- auy breach of tue Hy-laws, a copy of which is deposited at the County Office, Palmereton Buildings aforesaid, and will remain open for inspection of the public during office hours, for at least 30 1 days immediately preceding the Special Meeting to be held as aforesaid on the 2nd day of April, 1P09."
