SOUTHERN COURTS.
(By Telegraph.-—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Thursday. At the Supreme Court to-day, Albert Robert 'Musgrove and Albert Thompson, stock dealers, Of Feilding, were charged with having committed several breaches of tile Bankruptcy Act, the most serious of which was that of having obtained credit by means of false balance-sheets. Musgrove was found guilty of not having kept: proper books, of having incurred debts without reasonable grounds, of' expectation of being able to pay- same, and of rash speculation. Thompson was found guilty of having failed to keep proper books. Both weTe acquitted on the more serious charge. PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. In the Supreme' Court to-day, Albert Robert Musgrove and Albert M. Thompson, trading as stockdealers, were sentenced, to imprisonment for breaches of the Bankruptcy Act,- Musgrove receiving four months and Thompson (who was' found guilty on one count .only) two months' imprisonment. . \VTa_L_N'GTON > Thursday.; The second charge of sheep-etealing preferred by John Martin against John OfKJeefe, of has been withdrawn. When was acquitted last week, on the. first charge, the judge expressed the view that the prosecution could not hope tosueceed oh the other.
