MESSRS ALFRED BUCKLAND AND SONS' REPORT. Horses: At the Haymarket on Friday last horses were brought forward in increased numbers. Medium draughts sold at from £18 to £30 10/; light harness class, £9 10/ to £16 15/; buggy horses and good hacks, £12 5/ to £23; gig ponies, £3 10/ to £8; unbroken light to medium colts and fillies, three to four years old, £11 5/ to £25; colts and fillies by Bellboy, £25 to £26. At Remuera ou Thursday dairy cows, penned in usual numbers, kept late quotations. Store cattle were slightly better worth, owing no doubt to the useful rains. Young and fat calves, in average supply, were required from 2/ to £3 8/, according Ito weight and quality; 101 sold. The beef i pens wero a;;aiu filled with stock of nice i ciualitv. Ridding was steady throughout, and prices inclined to be firmer, ox beef selling to 22/ per 1001b, and cow to 20/. Steers ranged in price from £6 to £10; cows, £4 to £7; 42S sold. There was an extra large muster of mutton and lamb, every pen and yard being utilised. Mutton was lower all round fully 2/ per head. Lamb sold freely throughout. Best shorn wethers realised 15/6 to 18/9; ewes, 8/6 tol4A coolly (mixed). 14/ to W; 2623 sold. Lambs, 12/ to 15/9, 776 sold; ewes, with lambs, 14/9 to 16y?. Kp a fuU supply, were a shade easier. Baconers, £2 10/ to £3 1/; porkers, £1 0/ to £2 V; weaners, 12/6 to 15/; 143 sold. Poultry, 1/ to V 9.
