MANY LIVES LOST. (Received 5.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 25. The steamer Sardinia, while on a voy»m from Liverpool to Alexandria, with two hundred passengers aboard, took fire eff the Island of Malta.

When the flames burst through the deck many of the passengers jumped orarboard and were drowned. Most of these were Maltese and natives of the levant.
