BAHAMAS DEVASTATED. LONDON, (September 24. A hurricane has devastated the Baha mas (West Indies), wrecking many vessels and destroying many houses. A typhoon swept the Philippine Islands yesterday. Great loss of life and property is reported from Samar, Seyte, Luzon, Panay, . M-sbate. and Bomblon islands. 1 No details have yet reached Manila.
