THE GENERAL ELECTION.
LIBERAL PARTY'S PROSPECTS. BRIGHTER THAN EVER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUXEDIX, tliis day. Mr Gallichan. Literal organiser, says the party are more consolidated and voluntarily united than over before. This remark applies particularly to thp north, where tin- Opposition strength has hitherto manifested itself. The change in thp Auckland provincial district will especially bo shown in some constituencies which for many years have returned Oppositionists, and are determined to retnrn Government supporters. With minor exceptions, the Liberal party are quite united and determined to stick together. Mr Gallichan ridicules the idea anj' Minister's seat being lost, and says five of them will be returned practically unopposed.
