At the Australian football jubilee carnival to-day New Zealand, with six goals 12 behinds (48 points) defeated Queensland 4 goals 11 behinds (27 points) The winners deserved their success playing a more skilful game than that of their opponents. , The New Zealand team were expected to give the Queenslanders a good game, and the result of the match bears oat anticipations. This being the second win, local supporters of the game are very pleased at the success of their representatives. Tomorrow they meet Tasmania, when' they will have a stiller battle than that of yesterday, the garden island team being a fairly strong combination. The gate money is being equally divided among the competing leagues, and the New Zealand league is hopeful of getting sufficient from its share to pay all expenses, leaving the receipts from other games which have been arranged ns profit. They play at Adelaide on Eight Hours' Day, Tuesday next, and Bendigo on the day that a contingent from the American Fleet visits the mining centre It is hoped that two strong Australian teams will tour New Zealand next year playing exhibition matches at the different centres.
