ONEUUIfOA. - > The monthly meeting of the Onehnnga Borough Conncll was held 'last night. Preeent: Mr. John Howe (the Mayor), Councillors Holmes, Skinner, Stoupe, Colletlpe, Moody, Partlnßtpn, White, and Gtanfleld. The Fire Brigade.—Messrs. Bray and Co. wrote expressing their thanks to the Fire Brigade for Its promptitude In turning ont to the recent fire at their buildings and the able manner In which they went about checking the dames. They forwarded two guineas, which they wished should be handed to the brigade. It was resolved that the donation shonld be received with thanks and the amount handed'to the brigade. ML Smartrroad. —Mr. W. C.'Hill advised the Council to reqnest the Hill Domain Board to sink a hole on the north nide of Mt. Smert-road to carry off the storm-wat«r, which now flows over to the Onehunpi boundary. It was decided that the foreman of work* and the chairman of the Streets Committee shonld confer with the One-tree Hill Board on the matter.
