LOCAL AUTHORITIES INDEMNITY BILL

The Government Commissioners notified the Harbour Board that the Local Authorities Indemnity Bill had passed its second reading, but, on account of the adjournment of the House, it could not be finally passed until after Parliament reassemble on Tuesday, 18th. They were authorised to state that there was not the slightest question of the bill becoming law immediately after the reassembly of Parliament, and further that the provision will be made retrospective to cover any expenses that may be incurred in the meantime.
