THE SOUTHLAND STRIKERS.

(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") DUNEDLN, this day. When an application for rehearing the case of the men disqualified for refusing to play in the rain came before the Southland Rugby Union, surprise was expressed that the parent body had not upheld Southland's action. It was decided "that any one of the disqualified players who sends in a written statement of the reasons why his case should be reconsidered, will have his letter considered by this executive." The general impression is that Southland's touring team wm dc weak, especially in view of the decision of All Blacks Stead and Glasgow not to participate.
