ASSOCIATION. TJie Association game was played at Victoria Park, the Domain and North Shore on Saturday. The following were the results:— Corinthian A. v. W.Y.M.l.—This match was played on the Domain, Mr. O'Deil acting as referee. W.Y.M.I started off with great gusto, and had hard luck in not scoring, Bentey coming to the rescue just iv time. Gribble missing a grand chance in front of goal, Corinthians took play to the W.Y.M.I.'s half, and Harvey kicked behind, Provan doing the same a minute later. A free kick was given against W.Y.M.I. for hands, but a good kick by the full-back saved, and Corinthians forced aud got a corner. W.Y.M.I. cleared, and a dangerous rush by them was spoilt by the ball going out of play. Greenwood saving well. Worthington spoilt a good chance by kicking over the bar. Corinthian gained a corner, but the ball went behind. Lawson stopped a dangerous rush, and W.Y.M.I. got a penalty kick. Whitehead missing, Corinthians made a rush, and Whitehead scored, half-time arriving with the score Corinthians 1. W.Y.M.I nil. The game was even for a while, both sides playing a hard game. W.Y.M.I. forced a corner, the ball going behind. Hands against Lawson gave W.Y.M.I. relief. Corinthians were now being hard pressed, and W.Y.M.I. gained another corner, and the ball went into midfield. Galloway, with a big kick, sent the ball into Corinthian's territory. Corinthians gained a corner, which proved abortive. Corinthians forced, and Worthington headed over the bar. Foreshaw missed an easy chance of scoring, repeating a minute afterwards. W.Y.M.I. scored from a penalty. Corinthians then got a free kick, ,but could not score, and the game ended in a draw— Corinthian A, 1 goal; W.Y.M.1., 1 goal. Corinthian B v. Ivanhoe. — Corinthian, although having sun and wind against them, scored shortly after the game started, following up with two more before half-time. In the second spell, Ivanhoe were kept I pretty much to their own half, Whittle, ' Blaekwell, Hart, and M. Walsh scoring for ' Corinthians. The game ended: Corinthians B, 8 goals: Ivanhoe, nil. North Shore v. Ponsonby.—This game, contested at North Shore, resulted in a win for the home team by three goals to two. The game was, on the whole, somewhat uninterestins. SECOND .DIVXSIOiN. Arawa, 6 goals, defeated Tabernacle, 3. FOURTH DIVISION. TaDernacle, 1 goal, drew with Carlton, 1_ Pousonby, 3 goals, defeated V.M.C.A., nil. A team from the Wellington Football Association will visit Auckland during Fleet Week, and will play a match with Auckland on Victoria Park on Tuesday, August 11. A query was received from Wellington as to the probable amount which tuc A&joclatiou would be willing to contribute, towards the expenses. Tlie secretary of the A.F.A. (Mr J. Richardson) wired a reply on Saturday evening which, it is understood, Ik satisfactory. A curtain-raiser will be played by the Auckland ]i team, and a team from the British warships. DUNEDIN MATCHES.
