WAIHI RETUKN. £ 70,269 FROM 29,430 TONS. A" , ., OTHER DIVIDEND DECLARED. Hie directors of the Waihi G.M. Company have declared another dividend, payable on the Ist September next. This makes the 42nd dividend declared by this company, and as the amount is 4/- per share, it means the distribution of £99,181. This brings the total dividends up to £3,186^65. The return from the Waihi mine for the four weeks ended July 11th was £70.269, the outcome of the treatment of 29,430 tons of ore. Owing to one of the elevators breaking down, the tonnage put through was affected to the extent of nearly a thousand tons. The annual report of the company shows that, as usual, the estimates of the value of the bullion won during 1907 were of a conservative nature, the actual total received being £ 878,485, as against the estimate of £875,000.
