"REBELLIOUS SUSAN." The "Prince Chap" Company gave their farewell performance at His Majesty's Theatre last night, when "The Case of Rebellious Susan" was presented, and among those present were the members of the Anglo-Welsh and New Zealand football teams. The company left for Gisborne by the Talune this afternoon. . THE NEW OPERASCOPE. Tin's latest Edison invention, which is to be exhibited at His MajestVe Theatre to-night, nas had a successful season throughout Australasia. The biograph of former days, though conveying excellent ideas of life abroad, has been lacking through the quietness in street scenes, pictures of meetings, riots, etc. The opi-rasoope fulfils this want, and introduces sound that brings the pictures to perfect realism. Apart also from the ordinary everyday scenes, the Company introduce scenes from the comic opera "Mikado,' , which again adds a novelty to 1 hi , performance. The season is limited to the ono night. "HUIIPTY-D CMPTY." Mr. J. C. Williamson's Pantomime Company will arrive in Auckland to-mor-row, and on Monday niglit the New Zealand season of "liumpty-Dumpty" will begin at His Majesty's Theatre. There is every prospect of a big reception in point of numbers for the Company. The booking hns been a record one, and the interest of theatre-goers has been stirred up at the excellent accounts of the entertainment that have reached the Dominion. The action of the performance is compressed within the space of three hours, into which time a remarkable amount of material is fitted. The bit of incijenta and distinctive features that go to make up the pantomime forms a must formidable inventory. Its infjredients are a well-assorted mixture of bright music, comedy, spectacle, while ini/erwoven is the story of "HnmptyDumpty" —"the bad egg," as Mr. Gilbert calls him. The Melbourne "Argus" summarised the delights of the production into the comment that those who had not seen it were jealous of those who had, and those who had were envious of those who had not.
