EX-GOVERNOR DEAD.
LONDON, June 26. The death is announced of Sir Arthur Elibank Havelock, ex-Governor of Tasmania, in Ms 64th year. Sir Arthur Havelock was Colonial Secretary of Fiji at the end of the seventies, afterwards becoming Governor of the West African Settlements. He was appointed Governor of Trinidad in 1884; of Natal, 1885-89; of Ceylon, 1890-95; of Madras, 1895-1900; and of Tasmania 1901-4. " '
