CHEMISTS' FEDERATION.
DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A deputation from the Federated Association of Chemists waited on the Minister for Health to-day to lay before him the resolutions passed by the Conference. A special request made was that an advisory committee be set up in connection with the working and administration of the Pure Food and Drugs Act, and it was submitted that the chemists should have a representative on the i board. The Minister said the Tesolu-' tions of the conference would receive earnest consideration. In the appointment of an advisory committee on the lines suggested he saw a good many difficulties. Many people thought they should be represented, and the committee was apt to become clumsy. However, whether a committee were set up or not, the Government would be glad to have the assistance of the Federation in seeing that the regulations were fair and reasonable. He did not think there was much probability of the Sale of Poisons Bill being passed this session, and promised to have amendments made in the bill to meet the requirements of chemists where they dispensed fer veterinary surgeons.
