PAEROA.

The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Paul's Church was held on Wednesday evening. The Rev. J. P. Cowie presided. The annual report made reference to the good work done during the past year by the lay readers (Dr. Smith, Mr. C. Meredith, and Mr. J. G. Harp), the organist (Sir. L. lledhurst), and the choirmaster (Mr. A. W. Evaus). Dr. Smith wue reappoiuted vicar's warden, and llr. Croft was elected people's warden. Messrs. E. Broomwick. H. R. BrunskUl, H. K. Bush, E. Priestly, and H. O. Searle were appointed vestrymen, and Mr. E. W. Evans was re-elected auditor. The Walkino Orchestral Society, under the conductorship of Mr. J. Tracy Knight, gave a concert in Paeroa on Wednesday. The various items were excellently rendered.
