ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETX... The Council of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society met yesterday afternoon, those present being Messrs. E. W. Payton (chairman), J, "L 7 uloonrneld, E. Anderson, H. C. Clark, and B. (Jrayson. DistribuPlon-of Yearlings.—Ah application for 1500 yearlings was received from T. ■Martin for the Okoroire fish ponds. On condition that tae ponds were in good order it. was decided to send 500 yearlings later on, 'in addition to a similar number already -allotted. Tinance.—-According to the treasurer's report showed- a credit to the Society of £185 in the Bank of New Zealand, £247 in the Government Savings Bank, and £144 in the Auckland Savings Bank. - Rearing of Game.—A report from Messrs. Anderson and Clark relative to the rearing of pheasants and other game on the Society's property at Okoroire was referred to the Game Committee for consideration. REV J. "FLANAGAN-SJIISSION.
