The Hon. J. A. MHJirr says no official complaint has reached him as to shortage of oysters. During the first week of the 3eason close oil one thousand sacks were placed in the Auckland market. The Chief Inspector of Fisheries states that they are now able to fully meet the demand. He has authority to employ as many men as axe needed, and reports that the : demand has bsen overtaken.
