LAWN TENNIS.
. The Ngaruawahia and Huntly Tennis Clubs played their return match at Ngaruawahia on Wednesday ufteiaoon, the game again resulting In a win foe the local players. Owing to the length o£ several of tne games and the failure of the light, the match was not played to v finish. The game was thoroughly enjoyed, as was also the recherche tea provided by the ladles of the Ngaruawahia Club. Appended are the results:— Combined Double.—Mrs. Niccolls and Mr E. Clinch (H.) v. Mrs. Morris and Mr Thorpe (N.), 4—o; Miss Huston and Mr Ellison (H.) v. Mrs. Hntt and Mr. Quintal (N.), 6—5, I—6, I—4; Mr. S. Gleeson and Mrs. McCleary (H.), v. Mrs. Hall and MiMorris (N).. 6—4, 6—3. Ladies' Doubles.—Mesdames Morris ana Hall (N.). v. Mesdames McLearv and Niccolls (H.), 9—2; Mrs. Hutt and Mrs. Fltzpatrick (N.), v. Misses N. Bailey and. Herd Men's Doubles.—-Messrs. S. Gleeson and Ellison (H.), v. Messrs. Morris and Thorpe (J*..), 6_-3, 6—3; Messrs. Glee3on, sen., and C. Green (H.), v. Messrs. Quintal and McLeod (N.), 6—2, 3-6, 6-3. .
