LONDON, March 53.
's£ri _ G. 23". Barnes, iLP., general secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers, in a. speech in London, said that the sengineers in'the Jforth-east had wrongly advised the rejection of termi, inasmuch, as arbitration would have yielded better than a strike fought on la falling market- The vote had weakened the influence of the trades unions.
