An earbfaordinary general .meetfatt of the shareholders of the Thames Valley Dairy Company, Limited, was held in the theatre, to-day for the purpose of discussing the folloTTtng—"That, in view of the immediate necessity, of rebuilding the butter factory, and of the fact that a considerable savins could.be effected by having a railway siding a site be purchased near the railwaystation, and the work' of removal and recreeting the factory be proceeded with immediately. .Mr. A. C. Hiibbard; managing director, said that when the company started its output was 70 to SO tons per season it was 300 tons, and the present building was inadequate. In a very "short time they would have to face the question 01 establishing more creameries. ; The cost of removing and re-erecting would be £2075, .and against:this there woald be the present site. They would require to speid £110 ft to make the factory complete which included £S0» for a new butter room. He moved that the recommendation be adopted. Mr. W. Moore seconded/ bnt suggested that they should defer rebuilding for twelvemonths. -Mr. Bagnall moved ns an anjendment "that the matter of removal and reerection be left entirely in the hands of the directors to | deal with, as they consider advisable." 3JTr. Habbard , withdrew his proposition, and Mr. Bagnall's amend meat was carried., without one dissenting vote being .recorded.
