(By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent) WAIHI. this day. Mr E. J. Kitehing. of Karangahaie.- has reeelye'd word from the I'riine Minister, to the effect that he would confer on his: r'etiirnto, Wellington with his colleague, "the Hon. Dr. Findlay, Minister fpr luternai Affairs, with reference to the proposed borough £or Karangahake. This was in answer to a message sent by Mr. Kitching. asking if he could enlighten the residents of Karangahate as to the cause of the delay in the proceedings. Mr E..D. Bryant, letter carrier, has been transferred to Onehunga, being succeeded ■by ilr MeMahoii, from Auckland. Mr Bryant was an enthusiastic member of the Federal Band, and he will-be greatly missed by his comrades. At a meeting of the Miners'. Union Committee last night, accident pay amountin-* to £25 13/4, and general accounts £13 1/3 were passed for payment I understand a special meeting of the Union is to be called to discuss the- position of affairs at J3lacfcj3»-~-\
