RAGLAN.

Repairs are being made to various culverts that were damaged by fire on the Kuapuke, Te Mata, and Hutewai roads. A bridge is also being erected across the Mangaokahu. Ou Tuesday afternoon last Daisy Henry, the ten-year-old daughter of Mr. W. J. Llenry was thrown from her horse while riding home from school, owing to some boys throwing missiles at the pony. The girl was struck by the horse's hoofs, and received a severe cut on the head, besides other bruises. A most successful concert was held in the Raglan Town Hall, on Tuesday evening last, in aid of the Hall funds, "under the auspices of the Black Diamond Minstrel Company, from Hamilton. There was a good attendance, and each of the items earned a good round of applause. After the entertainment a most enjoyable dance was held. A large quantity of grass seed and fencing wire is coming to hand every steamer: settlers are making every effort to speedily repair the damage done by the recent fires.
