HAMHiTOK. WAIKATO AGEICULTUHAIy ASSOCIATION. The great progress made by the y?aikato Agricultural aud Pastoral Association was shown by the report submitted to the animal meeting of members last Thursday, at referred to the success of the past yeur's operation in every respect, and stated that immediately after the auuual meetiug of 1007 the committee undertook the erection of entirely new yards. The accommodation Dow at the command of exhibitors comprises ISO cattle pens, 2-30 single and pair iiorse stalls, upwards of 650 hurdles for tue formation of aoo sheep pens, and 46 pig pens, the whole of which have been erected out of new aud substantial timber at a cost of £345. The committee thanked Mr Manning and the ladles and gentlemen of the Hamilton Comedy Club for the excellent entertainment they provided for show nights, the net results to the association oi which totalled over £40. The thanks of the committee were also tendered to the judges and stewards, and to many others who helped with special prizes and donations. Balance-sheet ending Dec. 31, 1907, £34; sundry creditors, £16; Union Bank of Australia Uoau accounts, £2550; balance, £4335 5/9; £6935 5/9. Assets: Balance, credit current account, Union Bank, £449 5/9; land. £5305; buiiriings and yards, £643, less 5 per cent dex>reciatiou, £010; new yards, £345; members' fees, outstanding (£IS-i 6/b"), £150; sundry accounts owing, 2:16; furniture (safe, etc.), £10; £6935 5/0. The following addition was made to the report: "The executive has arranged through a syndicate for the purchase of a section iv Victoria-street, opposite the Bank of New -Zealand, Uamiltou, aud tenders have been accepted for the erection of a suitable building, which will contain a large meeting room, secretary's office, aud offices, at a total cost of about £2300. • It is fully recognised by the committee that the reuts, etc., obtained from the building will realise a good revenue, apart from paying interest on the outlay. The building is now in course of erection. 5 * ilr C. Dey agreed to accept the office of president for another year.
