Ngatiawo.—TUi; bottom level drive west on tile l'outwall part of the nniiu lode is 111 410 ft from ihe crosscut, and is gettiug near underneath tin? eastern end of the upper workings, The reef looks very encouraging, and it shows good minerals well distributed tUrongli the stone. A start will be made to <-iit through the reef at this point, to ascertain its full width, and value.
Waihi Extended.— The stone in No. 4 level has shown a slight improvement, an.] shows a tendency to open out. A few feet of erossi-uttlug has been done, but no stone of any importance has been met with. In the intermediate level, two faces are being opened on Ihe reef, some very promising looking ore being obtained. The shaft is now down DOtt be!ow No. 4 level.
