"F. W. B." complains of being charged a penny for going from Customs-street to the tram terminus in order to secure a seat for the journey home. He also , says he gave half-crown to a conductor, who dropped it into his bag and then insisted that it was a two-shilling piece. He thinks there should be a rule that conductors should keep the coin in sight until change is returned.
