THE COMING OF KUBELIK.
SYDNEY, March 17. Jan Kubelik, the famous violinist, arrives in May. Arrangements have been completed for a visit to the four NewZealand centres. [Negotiations for a visit from the violinist who is generally considered to be the greatest of the day have been in progress for some three years. It was generally understood that Kubelik would visit Australasia during 1907, but this tour was either never arranged or was | eventually cancelled. Finally, it was | announced about six months ago that the great artist would visit these colonies during 1908. Only 23 years, Kubelik fLret gained celebrity when 18. Since then he has travelled all over Europe and America, and has received decorations from several of the Crowned heads of Europe.]
