COW'S LEG CHOPPED OFF.
A dreadful case of cruelty to a cow' ( has been reported to the Linton (Vie.) I police. Some boys were coining through r the bush near the township, when they t found a cow lying on the ground, and o apparently suffering great agony. An i; examination showed that one of its legs i had been almost severed, evidently by a j; oiow irom some sharp instrument. The I cow, which was valued at £5, had to be j t destroyed. a
