The Ohinemuri Jockey Club's annual race meeting was commenced to-day iv tine weather, llesults are as follows: — Karangahake Handicap. — Rotoiti 1, Wiuchopc 2. AzolT 3. Also started: I-ree-bird. Memo, YVaihekau, Keep Step. \\oa by a Lead. Netherton Welter. — Le Beau 1. Manaponri 2. Cyrettus 3. Also started: Melton Hall Leouette. Koyal Soult. Le Beau led all the way. A great race for. second place. I Steeplechase. — Loch Fyne 1, Pierre 2. Straybird 3. Khama also started, but did not finish. All but Loch Fyne fell, and Loch Fyne ran off at the double the first time round. Straybird swerved at the double and brought Khama down. Howard, the jockey, having his ribs badly fractured through a fall at the brnsh fence. Pierre and Straybird fell. Loch Fyne passing them while their jockeys were remounting. Straybird dropped dead after passing the winning post. St. Patrick's Handicap. — Foremost 1. Rotoiti 2, Aristocrat .'!. Also started: Gcordie and Cyrettus. Won by a half a length. Ohiucmuri Cup. — Delegate 1. Montigo 2. Certainty 3. Only starters. Won. by half la length, hard held. Komata Handicap. — Waiotahi 1, Cyreniac 2, Hardrock 3.
