A great race for. second place. I Steeplechase. — Loch Fyne 1, Pierre 2. Straybird 3. Khama also started, but did not finish. All but Loch Fyne fell, and Loch Fyne ran off at the double the first time round. Straybird swerved at the double and brought Khama down. Howard, the jockey, having his ribs badly fractured through a fall at the brnsh fence. Pierre and Straybird fell. Loch Fyne passing them while their jockeys were remounting.
