. I In response to an invitation from the President of the Ponsonby Bowline Club, a number of country bowlers are taking part in a bowling tournament on the Ponsonby Green this afternoon. Among the clubs represented aie the Te Aroha. Waihi. Kaiangahake, Paeroa. ami the Thames. The first round was played this morning, and at its conclusion the local clubmen and visitors, to the number of 40 odd, sat down to a luncheon in the pavilion, the President (Mr Maurice Casey) proposing the heaTth of the visiting howlers-.
