STRIKE OF ENGINEERS.
Thousands to Gt Out. (Received 8.15 a-m.) LONDON, Feb-ruary 18. Eghteen thousand men engaged in the Ogffieering shops of the North-east Coast accepted the employers' modified latocidon of a shilling a week, but of iiOOC members of the Amalgamated toeiety of Engineers and the Steameagme ilakers' and Machine Workers' - Societies. 6140 voted for a strike instead 01 a reduction and 1307 against. The strike will consequently begin tomorrow, failing the employers' "reconEderation of their reduction." At present wsy show no sign of yielding.
