TRANSVAAL. EXCLUSION. UNIVERSAL INDIGNATION IN INOIA. BOMBAY, January 30. Seven thousand Hindus, Mohammedans, and. Paxsees, and many prominent Europeans met in the Town Hall, Day-to-day to protest against the vaal legislation, against Asiatics. Several heated speeches were made and the introduction ol a retaliatory Act into the Indian Legislative Council was suggested. ' A motion was unanimously carried ugmg the British Government to prevent : the injustice and illtreatment of Indians in South Africa. There is universal indignation in India. CANADA AND JAPAN. The "Standard's"' Johannesburg correspondent says that in accordance with recent of the Colonial Office signatures will supersede finger-prints, while Ghandi and other distinguished Indians will be released.
