MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE SANATORIUM. The Hon. George Fowlds, Minister for Public Health, left by the express this morning with a number of others interested to pay a *> isit of inspection to the Sanatorium at Cambridge. Invitations were sent to the Chairman and members of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board of Auckland, also to two members of both houses of the Legislature. Some of those invited joined the 'rain at stations outside Auckland. Amongst those on board when the express left the Auckland station were the Hon. T Thomson, M.L.C., Hon. W. Be?han, M.L.C.. Mr. C. H. Poole, M.P., Dr MaeDowell, Dr Tracy Inglis, Dr. Purely (district health officer), Mr. G. Knight (chairman) and iiie follow, ing members of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board: .Messrs. L. ,1. Bagnall. P. Mac-ky, H. Scholeficld, J. Jenkins. A. Bruce, and C. D. Grey, as w.-ll as others interested in the Sanatorium. The object of the visit is to demonstrate to the members of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards the good work done at the Cambridge Sanatorium, the i.-lc.i beins to get the Boards to erect .-belters the treatment of consumptive cases in suitable positions. As the question has already been raised at the Hospia.l and Charitable Aid Board, the Minister dee-id-ed to afford an opportunity for members to visit Cambridge. The party will return to town to-morrow. Mr. Fowlds will then go on from Franeton Junction to Rotorua, and return to Auckland next Tuesday, leaving by the Takapuna the next day for Weflington.
