RAND GOLD PRODUCTION.
Wor&iiig Cost Materially Seduced. , c (Received 8.32 a.m.) c CAPETOWN, January 8. The introduction of up-to-date methods and of labour-saving appliances has led to a great saving in the working cost of gold production on the RandTaking an average of G3 mines, representing 99 per cent of the entire tonnage of the Rand, the working cost for November last was 20/ per ton, compared with 22/6, the average for previous years since the war.
