SALE OF FANNING ISLAND.
LONDON. January S. Confirmation has been received of the report that Father Rougier, head of the Marist Missions in Suva, has purchased Fanning Island. The Pacific Cable Board, which has a station there, believes that it would be advantageous if Father Rougier would send settlers to the island.
