! (From Our Own Correspondent.) HTJNTLY, Wednesday. The members and friends of the Huntly Anglican Church entertained Mr, Mrs, and Miss Housley to a welcome home social In the Masonic Hall ou their return from a nine months' tour of the Old Country and America. The Rev. Beck presided over a large company. The evening was enjoyably spent in dancing, songs, recitations, etc A large gathering of miners and friends of Mr Alf. Turner met iv the Public Hall on Friday evening, to bid him farewell on his leaving the employ of the Tanpiri Coal -lines, Ltd., where for a number of yearhe has been employed as deputy manager of the Extended Mine. Mr J. P. Bailey, who occupied the chair, presented Mr Turner with a handsome gold watch, as a slight token of their regard. Mr Turner left on Saturday to take up a position In Waihi.
