THE NEW POST OFFICE.
PBOGESS OF DETAIL PLANS. (Ey Telegraph Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The official denial to the statement circulated in the city that the erection of the new Wellington Post Office will be delayed as a consequence of the extensive building programme which the Government will have on its hands for the _i-_st few years, led the "Star" representative to make inquiries of Mr. J. C. Campbell, Government architect, as to how matters wore progressing in regard to the making of drawings for the new Auckland Post Office. Mr. Campbell said the plans were now in hand, and it was intended to have them completed as speedily as possible. A number of details required consideration before they were finally confirmed, and at the present time he was conferring with the Railway L«partment as to the side entrances to the railway station, which it was intended should be provided for in the building. There was to be no material alteration in the plans, as sketched by the Premier during his 1 recent visit to Auckland.
