fFrem Our Own Correspondent.) RTJSSBIi. The weather here during the first part of the holiday season has been worse even than experienced in Auckland. It was the | more regrettable iv ttuit a very large nunit>er of visitors are with us this season. It is a great pity that such a pood opportunity of "making the liuest harbour, and one of The most delightful tourist resorts iv the better known, should so be lost. ilany yachts and motor launches hare also been in the bay during tlie last fortnight. The Unique Concert Tourinj Company gave two concerts in tie Public Hail last week. A first-class programme of music and song was given en both occasions. Some of the company very kindly helped the siEging at the Enc;lisii Church on Sunday morning. To-night (Monday) we have "Cook's Pictures" in the Public Hall, and the prospect of a full house. There is one matter of ■which we nave a legitimate right to grumble —the Northern Steamship Company have run their steamers in such a way that we have only had one out of our usual three mails a week lately. I think they are making a Tnjsfs'e even from a business Doint of view.
