HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID ABOARD.
The following matters were dealt with at the Tneetiug of the Board yesterday afterFees Committee. —The Fees Committee reported that of a total of £973 7/2 due, there wan received on account £132 14/8, and written off £814 12/6. IloepitaJ Results. — During the past fortnight two cases of typhoid, and six of scarlet fever were sent fo the hospital. Seven deaths occurred during the fortnight. During the same p<4»iod 40 operations were performed. Salvation Army Visitor.—lt was agreed that the comin:uiding ofllcer of the Salvation Army at Auckland and at Newton be appointed visitor*; at the hospital. Mr iinure said of course the same right would be allowed to the head of other d-enominu-Uons. luhrmary Ward.—The Board agreed that j the ue-.v intirinary ward at the Costley liome be formally opened at 3 o'clock r.ext Mouiioy afternoon by the Hon. G. I'owlds. Appointment.—Miss Beck was appointed fnnale assistant at the Costley Home. j Ttuinis.— Votes of thanks were accorded I Mr W. R. Bloomlield and Mr J. Kitt for I I»ast services as members of the Board.
