AQUATICS.

On Saturday afternoon the North Shore Rowing Club held a set of subscription trial fours. The course selected was at Cheltenham Beach, from Narrow Neck point to the plantation end. The race was keenly contested, and the final was rowed between crews stroked by E. Bailey and C, Baliantyne. the former securing the judge's verdict by half a length. The winning crew comprised B. Bailey, R. Sibbaklv L* Sheffield, R. lOxenbam, E. Grey (cox-). The Devonport Yacht Clnb held its first crnising race'to Waiwera on Saturday, the Pandora proving ttie winner, the Iris and Ngatira filling second and third places respectively. The Thelma was first in by a handsome margin. Power Boats.—The Gloria succeeded in beating the Bansbee by a comparatively narrow margin.
