WAEEATO STOCK SAXES.
The New Zealand -Loan and Mercantile 'Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, renort:— At onr'monthly sale at Ngaranwahia on Fdday eyerything sold at the hammer at prices quite up to any Waikato market, anii two-year-old steers were in good demand, and made up to £3 10/ for the latter; empty cows, £3 'if, empty heifers, £2 10/ to £2 12/0; aged cows, Hllable, £4; strong calves, £1 12/; smaller ones, 19/ to 28/. SeTeral young bulls bronght £4 15/ to £5 5/; dairy cows, £4 15/ to £6 15/, there being only a few yarded. A gig and harness realised £25; harness, £3 8/. -Sundries sold as usual. On Wednesday and Thursday, the 23rd sad 24th inst, we held our annual spring horse sale at Ohaupo, and during the two Says offered 126 draught and light colts and 880 odd draught and light horses. A large number of buyers attended from Auckland. Te Knltl, Otorohanga, Kawhia, Raglan, and neighbourhood, and, notwithstanding the rain, we report one of the best sales yet held at Oliaupo. Competition was keen throughout for sound animals of every class, the prices realised being quite equal to Cambridge September fairs. With the exception of a few light colts and aged draughts in poor condition everything was sold at the hammer or before leaving the yards. Three-year-old draught colts and Allies realised from £34 to £43; heavy dranght mares and geldings, £38 to £4D: medium draught colts, £24 to £32 10/; aged flranghts and medium draughts, £16 to £30; light coits, £8 to £14: upstanding hacks, £17 10/ to £2S; good buggy horses, £16 to £S ]n/; useful harness sorts. £7 10/ to £12; light hacks. £6 to £10 10/; good ncnles, £4 15/ to £8; small ponies, £2 10/ to £3 W.
