Arrangements, are rapidly progressing for i the entertainment, of the Kaiser, and Empress of 'Germany in England toward the middle of October. The .imperial, visit is expected to last a week,. and ; will be marked by great official and social events in Buckingham Palace, the Guildhall and Windsor Castle.' The? streets of London wib be gorgeously decorated and the ebte of the realm will assemble to do honour to the illustrious, visitors. King Edward intends to leave nothing undone to destroy the tradition of his alleged disbke of the Tea-, ton ruler. ' ~. : ' " . • . . - " Not since "1891 nas the Kaiser paid an official visit to England ua that occasion he was accompanied by trie Empress, and all ceremimies wore a_ formal aspect, but his frequent visits of the last few years, including his sojourn at the time of Queen Victoria's death, have been of a semi-private character, shorn of all pomp and circumstance. . Perhaps the culminating point of tne present visit will be the presentation t? the Emperor and Empress of the city aadress of welcome at the Guildhall. Greac men of the Cabinet will meet the -Emperor and important talks are schedule, between the German and British statesmen relative to German relations, in view of the accomplished and pendmg treaties and ententes regulating the political future of the world.
