(By Telegraph.—O-tvn Correspondent.) PAEEOA. Thursday. Now that the. flood water has subsided it has been ascertained that very little damage has been done, except to one or two properties along the banks of the river, where quantities of silt have been brought oyer by the flood. This evening a man under the influence of liquor was driving a buggy, when be nearly capsized the vehicle. He was warned by the police to give the reins to a mate,- who was sober. The man immediately slewed the horse round and drove up the street, using filthy language regarding the police. Constable Henry procured a bike, pursued and eventually arrested the man on a charge of being, drunk while in char_e of a vehicle.
