The Australasian players have won the Davis cup by three events to two.
In to-day's play Gore beat Wilding (New Zealand), 3—6, 6—3, 7 —5, 6—2; and Brookes (Victoria), beat Barrett, 6—2, 6—o, 6—3.
[Australasia beat TLS.A. by 3 singles to one single and the double, or 3 mateh Cs to 2. Australasia thus gained the right to challenge England (the holder of the cup). Australasia beat England by 3 singles, one single and the double, and thus won. by 3 matches to 2.]
