Fitting New Horse Collars.

Having lately to fit an old ooliar to a new horse -we had bought to put into spring work, we thought it might be a help to other farmers—and their horses—to tell fcow It is done. The collar must, of course, be somewhere near the size the "horse should [wear —as near the right size as possible. Wet the collar and wrap it in thick cloths that are thoroughly saturated with water over night. Iβ the morning the collar will be found quite soft, and putting it on the horse with the rest of the harness, adjusting all well as possible, drive or work him easily all day, or until the collar is dry, when it wiE have shaped itself to a comfortable fit. New horse collars are fitted over a form wet. and this gave mj the idea of wetting and fitting old collars.—"Farm, Stock and Home."
