l_ SHAREMARKET. A good deal of husiness was done in mining shares on the Exchange to-day. Very free sales were made of Talisman Consolidated shares from 43/3 to 43/6, and YVaiotahi sold at 14/3 and 14/. l'ainia Broken Hill shares advanced in price, e.hJp> being made from 4/10 to 5/, after which a good sized parcel changed at 4/11. Waitaniii shares failed to mainwin the sharp advance of yesterday. Afu?r reaching 4/6, the market opened today with sales at 3/10. but later transactions took place at 3/G. X.Z. Crown bharcs were slightly firmer., being sold at 7 '. but Waihi's changed hands down to 175/. A transaction took place in Grand Junction at 40/. Investment stocks showed little change. Auckland Trams, ordinary issue, changed hands at 24/8, and D.S.C. shares at 6/3.
