OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

The Ohinemuri County Coumil met on Thursday last. Present: Messrs. Nicholls (chairman), I'oland, Grace, Marrlman, Corbett, Cochrane, and Trezise.

Road Matters.—lt was decided to mate the -road to Dr. Cheeseman's house, Maekaytown, at a cost of about £12. A suggestion that the road leading to the rai'way station at Karaugahake have a ctmcrete foundation was discussed, and the Question deferred pending Information respecting fhe cost of a concrete wall. The engineer was instructed to carry out the work of metalling the roa_ In front of the Talisman Consolidated Company's No. S level. On the motion of Mr. Trezise, it was resolved that the engineer _onld be instructed to report on the state of the Kofokohu-road. and that in the meantime he be instructed to keep the road passable fjr traffic.

Karanganake Bridge.—The Department of Roads sent a communication, stating that the Council would be called upon to take charge of ana maintain the combined railway r>nil traffic bridge at Ivarangahahe on certain conditions.—On the chairman's motion, it was decided to agree to maintain the decking of the bridge, and to decline to do the other work.

Karanganake Sanitary Service.— Iv response to a complaint respecting the way in vibici; the nigiitsoil pans were cleaned, it »"ns decided to instruct the engineer to report on the question of a better water __■_- ply at the depot.
